The Contra's multi-layer sandwich construction combines braided structural layers with specially developed staple fibres, so the rope maintains its load-bearing capability even when the sheath or core is significantly damaged. In practice that means a suspended person still has critical time to abseil safely or reach an anchor point. Low 4.6% stretch keeps descents and rigging controlled, and a 48.5% sheath percentage suits harsh, abrasive environments. Choose the Contra when the environment is harsh and abrasive and you want the biggest safety margin. White, 200m.
